it's a collectors item!!!!
you're not supposed to drive it, you need to lock it away and tell everyone you have it.

all cars when you buy them they depreciate..alot! This mk1 001 will appreciate in value. and become more and more valuable as time goes by.

001 is the car used in the goodbye citi tour. They won't sell it and i think they have 002 aswell.

A "true" legend is 1 that has the "GTI" badging on it.... :lol:

The idiot that bought that MK1 for R210k needs his head read!! They selling new for R115k at VW.

If thats the case then mine is up for sale at R235k for it's extras as well... any takers?? haha...

Its nr3 u ppl. Last 1 is nr 1. Not 999. its a big thing sharing 1 of 3 last with vw germany and vw sa. If u buy it 4 daily. Thats fuckt up. Its meant 2 be packed away, with 0km's.

Guys, as DJ Lost said, the one on auction is number 003. That is the third last one made. 002 and 001 are going to be put in the museums in Germany and Uitenhage. (I just signed my name on 001 this afternoon. I assume this will also be the one which goes to Uitenhage).

As for the price, I also think its ridiculous. But then again there are people that spend that much money on bottles of wine/whiskey, etc. And by the way, the money is going to charity, not to VW.
My other car's a french maid with a large derriere.
