MK2 mag size query

Post by DemonicBunnee »

Ok so in short, I have a Golf MK2 GTi, shes bin dropped by 60mm and I just want to know if I'll be able to fit 16" mags on her, and with what profile tire. I'd prefer not to do any modification to the arches atm...

Sorry I only saw you Q today. I haven't been online for a while now.
I don;t think there'll be a problem with 16s a on 60 drop Mk2.
Just make sure the offset is correct. 35mm offset is 100%, but I think you can go up to 45mm o/s.
I've also got a set of 16s which I planning to fit on my Mk2 with 60/40 drop

Mine is 16"
7.5j
35 offset
4/100pcd

I spoke to a few guys they said there shouldn't be a problem.

I know there is an online tyre size calculator that you can use, can't reemember the site name but I'll check & let you know if I found it. Also check on the calculator under TECHNICAL in the front page of this site. Might find something.
