2011 polo vivo cd error

I bought a 2011 vivo and tried to play a cd. The message says CD in and ejector runs but no cd. Now when I listen to radio I get a beeb and cd error appears. Very annoying! How do I reset or get rid of the message? I do have my radio safe code.

Remove the radio and disconnect from power. Then reconnect and see if that clears the error.
