1989 1.8L Mk1 idling rough and jerking

Post by Davin_L »

Hi,

My Carb 1.8L golf recently started jerking and idling inconsistently only at low rpm, when I have the choke out its not noticeable. It also jerks when I pull away or change gears. This is only on low rpms.

Also make sure the idle cut-off solenoid is connected properly (including earth cable from carb to valve cover) and is getting reliable power.
