Wikus are you planning on making the one's for the rear? Like the CTI's and I think the Mk1 GTI's got?

That is the brace between the 2 control arm bolts.

Mk3 does not need a lower brace. Have you seen the huge chunk of steel that is the subframe? Not needed on a Mk2 or Mk3, unless you plan on pushing huge power or turning it into a dedicated track machine.

The first picture is taken from the floor up and the second is taken level with the lowest part of the sump. Hope this answers your question. BTW picture taken on my track day car!
