Cylinder head codes

How many different cylinder head codes are there for the 8v and how will I know what "size" head it is.


For example my Cyl. head's (camtec) code starts with 6KS or GKS I am not sure now.

Is this a 1.4i,1.6i,2.0,1.8i??

Can anybody shed some light please?

6KS prefix is a MP9 1400 head smaller valves and combustion chamber.

what is the difference in valve size between 1.4 and the 1.8 / 2.0 anyone have pics???

and if the combustion chamber on the 1.4 is smaller ........... it means the compression will be higher if you put that 1.4 head on a 2.0lt block right?

which intern should give a bit more power?

I got a MK2 Jetta CSL, recently had the cylinder head replaced and feels a bit under powered even after running the motor in. The old head looks a little bigger then the new one though.

Heres the code for the new head - 1GS103373
