Agreed, from what can be seen the 6 that we mapped here seems to have been weak out of the factory and its DSG. The other 6 we did is currently based in Durbs and that oke reckons his car feels like a bat out of hell :driving: His car is manual  Bring it, lets see what she does....

Only difference IMO might be the compression ratio (9.6 vs 9.8). Other than that the hardware is the same. Actually let me check my manual quick. If its teh same then both engines are identical IMO...

Doesnt lower compression allow for higher boost?

I know about that....there are some other changes..... when my dealer in Germany gets me an answer i wil let u guys know
I have done 1 Scirroco 2.0TFSi and it made very similar gains here at the coast as the Revo car did.
Done 4 Gti's and gains were totally different!...dynoed 2 of them and the graphs are almost identical!

I know that the GTI is 9.6, I cant believe it that my manual doesnt list the scirocco's compression ratio. The only reference I have is CARs test where it states 9.8 however I think that is wrong.. seeing that even VWs website still states most TSIs are 10.5/10.3 ....

Im inclined to believe here:
http://www.my-gti.com/1046/differences- ... -vi-engine

all new EA888 should have 9,6 compression ratios. TBH, I reckon the engines are the same. Ditto with the Tiguan 2.0 TSI, exactly the same as GTI.

Evolution, its not TFSI anymore, only TSI.
