Thanks G-Unit :) I've seen that also. But remember that some things are different for our SA models. So I wonder how true this is? Can anyone else check with their dealers?

Never mind its is 5/112 just confirmed this with head office.... :bang: Damn VW....They make 90% of their cars 5/100 and now make the golf 7 5/112

Hi guys, interesting thread you have going. My warm fuzzy feeling about the car has taken a dent after reading about these identified issues, especially as I am still awaiting delivery of a 1.4 TSi C/L DSG.
I wonder if the problem with the radio is not a case of deja vu for VW, Golf 5 came out with an aerial/rear demister setup and were later changed to bee sting aerials?
The Xenon/LED rear tails issue - did you guys spec PXB and PED in your order or only PXB?

PED - "Taillamp assemblies, dark red and rear license plate lamps in LED technology"

It's funny but I get a better reception on AM radio than I do with FM, you would think it would be the other way around, if it was just an antenna fix you would think VW would have a fix by now. My car comes with just the Radio, USB,SD Card the next model up get a reversing camera as well which is the more popular model in Australia, I haven't found anyone over her complaining about the poor FM reception so maybe it only happens to the Unit that doesn't have the reversing camera fitted.

if anyone has the reversing camera already, do the guidelines swing like in the toureg when you turn the wheel, or just static?

I may not show up then.
You may have to un-pair your phone, then import your contacts list again.

I use an S3 but i will try it out on my iphone when I get a chance.

G-Unit/Vanesh, the contact pictures on my phone are automatically pulled in via Facebook. I haven't added any pics manually on my phone. I've tried un-paring and re-pair my phone without any luck. Vanesh, are you using an iPhone or also Android?

Don't know if these are genuine VW rims, but the TSI Comfortline stopped next to me at a robot the other day and I thought this looked quite nice. It looks like 18" rims?

They look similar to the blacked out version of the VW "Vision" wheels that I have. Will see if they're in ETKA

Looks like 18". I need to see some more examples of the G7 with various wheels before I can decide what I like.

Funny you guys mention the reverse camera, the thing is i don't have any reception issues at all but i do have the reverse camera maybe you're right, maybe the camera does make a difference. The park lines are static and super accurate. I had the PXB on my order and only got the Xenons up front but no LED tail lights. VWSA sent me a letter stating that they will fit the LED tail lights and no extra cost towards the end of August so can't wait for that. I did get the wastegate rattle but went past VW yesterday and they said they would fit it for me next week, alot of the Dealers show that they do not have stock of the clip, it is slightly different to the MK 6 version, but the workshop managers keep them off the system otherwise all the dealers looking for them will take theirs.

I have re-paired my iPhone with the radio with no luck in getting the contacts pictures displayed on the radio. Is there anyone here with an iPhone that has managed to get it right?

Has anyone had any luck in just buying chrome exhaust tips over the counter? It seems no dealer have them in stock, but can be ordered from the factory in two days. Price I was quoted is R1105 incl Vat.

Hi guys! Greetings from Norway!

i have been reading most of yout issues, and i have som issues with my TSI also. It`s a 2013 TSI (103KW) highline DSG with the cylinder-cut crap!

On normal driving on the highway the car is exellent, but a couple of issues it is. The DSG7 rattles on bumpy roads in low gears(1 & 2) VW Norway say`s that this is "normal" cause of the "dry" clutch..dumbest thing i have ever heard, but it seems to be on every DSG7 from 2009 and up to now! My car has now 6.000km on the road, and in this time i have had to replace the rear lights on both side and the "lower-light" in the front because of water inside the glass. The panoramic sunroof is also making a lot of noise when opening..The warranty is 5years, so if any problems continue, VW will replace. BUT you buy a brand new car..and the noise, rattle, poor quality on lights is disturbing! And the problem is all over the world!

Some pics of my car: https://www.facebook.com/rolf.marius/me ... 589&type=3

They're gloss black. Not stainless steel or chrome.
