Will your warranty not cover such a repair?

Hi Sandeep the noise you are hearing is probably the clutch release bearing if it makes a noise when in neutral or in gear and noise disappears when you press the clutch in it is probably the clutch release bearing, yeah gearbox needs to come out

Hey vanesh try resetting the gearbox so it loses your current settings and defaults to factory settings,it will relearn your driving style again, did it on mine when I got the shudder also after the reset it went away, apparently the only way for it to completely disappear is to have the gearbox oil and filter replaced which is done at 60000 under normal service plan

Getting the 2WD 1.5 dCI Acenta model. R329900 with the techno pack. Not looking to break the bank. Drove a crossover in the UK when I was there a few weeks a go and was such a good driver I was compelled to make change.

Just buy an extra set of inside handles apparently they break that easily and aren't cheap like second hand they're R900 a side second hand

Ha ha. Was that not the older model?

You get more with the Qashqai than with the X-Trail in the same price bracket.

I have the 1.4 TSI Comfortline Manual but my deal with Nissan is just about complete. Doubt I will be able to stop the trade-in now.

Hi Guys

Its been along time since we sorted out the radio and waste clip. Golf has driven well for two years.

I now have 53330 km on the clock.

I hope someone on this forum can help me sort out my current issue.

I have a noise on my golf coming from the front left and right, when driving below 20km/h on an uneven tar road or over speed bumps.

Its definitely a metal on metal sound. Sounds a bit like as the screech and a klickity clang as the suspension goes moves up over a bump.

Its been around for over a year, was initially intermittent. VW at my previous service weren't worried and they sniffed around, and said it was the rubbers on the shocks making a noise.

Every time they looked at the car it would would stop for a few days.

At this years service at a different dealer in January I complained that it had gotten worse, and eventually the technician said my steering rack was loose. So they decided to replace steering rack and suspension bushes under warranty.

Parts took 2 months to arrive and was done at end of March. They also did the TPI on the rear shocks.

Nothing has solved the problem. I don't have the energy to fight a dealer or VWSA again like what we did with the radio and waste clip.

Any suggestions out there before I contact the dealer again?

Sandeep I Daya wrote:Hi,

I am in the process of buying a golf 7, 2013, 1.4 Highline. Vehicle just came out of the 75 000km service.

There is a tapping noise when the vehicle is stationary and the clutch is released (Noise is probably from the gearbox). When the clutch is in then the noise disappears. This happens all the time when the vehicle is idling. VW suggests that the gear box needs to come out so that they can identify the problem.

From my knowledge, it could be that the springs on the clutch plate is faulty/broken. That would mean replacing the entire gear box components (Clutch plate, pressure plate and bearing).

Have any one of you experienced this problem or has any knowledge of what it could be?

Thanks

Regards

Hi Sandeep

Did you manage to figure out what the problem might be. Have the same issue on my highline and took it to VW only to be told it's nothing to worry about but they recorded the sound, promising to send the clip to Germany

Anyone changed their brake pads yet?
I'm at 60000k's and i need to change the front pads for approximately R2200.00
3mm left according to the VW service agent.

Would I void warranty if I get them changed elsewhere (other than VW)
