Re: Polo 2009 1.9tdi oil in boost pipes
It's normal to find some oil in the boost pipes and intercooler.
If excessive, it either comes down to a faulty turbo that's bypassing from leaky seals, or excessive blow by from the engine / heavy vacuum from a tuned engine or big turbo.
Since these tappet covers have a sealed breather its difficult to tell what's going on inside. I have seen engines especially the ones with big turbos pull oil into the induction pipe. Only way around that is to either get a new tapper cover, fit a proper oil catch can or dump the breather to atmosphere.

When a car tailgates me, i slow down - then floor it and give them a cloud of diesel smoke to choke on

Hi all
On the subject of boost pipes, is there a recommended replacement for the 90 deg bend boost pipe that comes off the egr on the polo 1.9tdi motor?

Direct replacement (maybe goldwagen keeps them) or race pipe and silicone joiner.
