Vw mp9 over fueling

Post by Reedo »

Hi need some assistance or information please

I've got a 1.4 mp9 citi golf..
Car stood for 3 months while sorting out some paperwork issues..

Car has now developed a over fueling issue..
Starts..runs fine..drives fine

Problem is on idle it's extremely rich on fuel..little smoke too
Extremely heavy on fuel..

Things replaced/ checked

New 4pin temp sensor
New map sensor
Throttle body checked
Wiring to and from ecu checked all checked 100% especially to map/ temp/ Throttle
Fuel regulator replaced 3 times already
Fuel rail checked not broken inside
Injectors checked ..all seem to be spraying the same
Timing checked 3 times..ignition timing tried on 6/8/10 Degrees all does the same..
Motor recently serviced
Checked resistance on plug wires
Checked dizzy cap
Tried another dizzy

Noticed that it's so heavy on fuel my spark plugs come out extremely black
NGK plugs only last 1 week
Bosch last abit longer before plugs just fail

So when driving ..idle is rough very lumpy..smokes black..smells very rich
Sometimes approaching a stop she cuts out..then when I try to start it will only take if I open the throttle..so basically giving it more air..
Sometimes while trying to drive slow on a low constant rpm it jerks

Decided to run vcds did a throttle adaption and set timing properly.

Scan for faults..cleared them. Took for test drive..tested again

Coming up with a fault I've never had before..

U48023 Internal control module memory error

Ever since this fault is coming up my car is doing this ..

Any help will be very much appreciated

Sounds like ECU issue, do you have anyone that you can borrow from and test since you replaced many a parts.
