Knocking sound from front

Post by KaRBoN85 »

Good day all.
I really need some help. I had some work done on my Jetta at Supaquick and I think they screwed something up .
I had Shocks, Control Arm bushes and ball joints all replaced.
On collection of my car they tell me that both my front bearings need to be replaced.
I disagree, I am used to worn bearings humming not knocking. It sounds almost rubbery when the Moise starts and it only happens when I turn.
Further on that my ASR and ABS lights are now on.

Any ideas where I should look for the issue will be greatly appreciated.

Noise probably from the shock saddle and bearing. Most likely fitted incorrectly.

Have someone turn the steering while u look at the spring. The bearing is meant to allow the strut to turn easily without binding or jamming.

When a car tailgates me, i slow down - then floor it and give them a cloud of diesel smoke to choke on :driving:

Ding Ding Ding! Was exactly that. Well the bearing supplied did not have a bearing installed. It had to be purchased separately
