Hi guys, im having a totally different issue with my car. Since this morning I noticed the gear changes on the Dsg box is sort of jerky, has a lag between changes and a noticeable jerk when moving from 5th to 6th, also changes way to quickly betweeen gears. Anyone has a similar issue? Also a slight loss of power, most probably because of early gear changes

Not had an issue like that. Then again I have a manual.

Car went in to Barons Bellville on Monday after my air-con stopped cooling. Seems like my condenser was struck by what looks like a small rock. Will have to be replaced and as usual there is no stock in SA. R6000 later and who knows how long I have to wait for it to arrive.

I assume that is only possible after a bench flash? Well that is what I had to get done first on my Polo 6R.

Anyhow my car is going back to VW Barons tomorrow to have the condenser replaced. Will be great to have my air-con back in working condition.

My wife is loving her TSI. Great consumption and overall pleasure to drive. She downgraded from a G6 GTI and has never looked back.

Her only complaint is that the AC is weaker than that of the G6?

Just to let you guys know...
Went for my 45000km service.
My clutch pedal was "creaking" when pushed. (only noticed this on my way to VW that morning, because the radio was switched off)
So there's a TPI for this.
Not exactly sure what's being replaced but the parts are on order.

Update on my Front suspension:

VWSA changed the connecting link- This is the link from Strut to Sub frame
They also changed the sub frame- cos they needed to change the bushes

No more front noise after 18 months

Rear noise still evident

Mine is rather bad now. Front and back. VW Bellville had a look and could find nothing wrong. Going to take it to VW Parow next. Hope to have better luck there.

VW was nice enough to allow me to return the pipe tips that I didn't like and I got some new ones. These ones were bought as Skoda Yeti exhaust tips from eBay, but on looks they are identical to ones I've seen on Golf 5 GTIs and similar aged Audi A3's

I've imported these skoda yeti ones almost 6 months ago. They've been lying unused. Don't have enough posts to make an ad and don't want to spam. Maybe this could benefit another user on this forum. Looking at below cost. Mods please delete if my post is not appropriate

Shouldn't be too hard haven't fitted mine either, apparently line them up and take a piece of wood across the faces and gently tap with a rubber mallet

Indeed. I tried (and bruised) the palm of my hand at first. Once they're on, they're on.

Quick question for the guys with the 1.4 TSi - What sort of mileage are you getting on a tank?

I have 18's on my car and am still getting 900+ in town driving and 1000+ on long trips
