Hi Guys ,
I need some advice , about 1& half months ago , i bought a waterpump for my 1998 Polo Classic 1.8i Luxline from Goldwagen Rosetenville . I was told by my mechanic who works for Mooi Street vw , that the waterpump was stuffed .
He then replaced the waterpump .
On Wednesday last week I noticed the car started making the same irratating noise . I taught it was the alternator an had it reconditioned an fitted back onto the car .
The noise was still there. I then taken the car to my mechanic at Mooi Street VW to check it out again . To my amazement he says the waterpump is stuffed again .
I then contacted Goldwagen Rosetenville today , told them the episode ,an to my amazement , they said I must buy a new waterpump from them an return the faulty waterpump to them . They will then send the waterpump to their manuafacturer for a warranty claim.
My anger lies on the following aspects :
I have to pay for the new waterpump gain.
I have to pay for the labour for fitment of the new waterpump again.
I have to pay for 2 bottles of G12 antifreeze again.
I have no guarantee that I will be refunded for the faulty waterpump and the timeframe for the refund .
Guys please help ... is there anyone who I can escalate my problem to .
Thanx an looking forward to your replies .

Re: Complaint about Goldwagen Rosettenville
Think it states that on the packaging? I had the same with a petrol pump I bought from 786 Auto, for warantee to be validated needs to be sent to manufacturer. In your case as well GW have no guarentee that it was fitted correctly. If you want that kind of peace of mind, take it to the agents for supply and fit.Polo Rider wrote: They will then send the waterpump to their manuafacturer for a warranty claim.

I think it's reasonable.
The pump needs to opened to check wether or not you had the correct amount of coolant etc. You could have been running with only water, arusty radiator and therefore the pump is now stuffed. Rest assured, if it's a manufacturers fault, Goldwagon will refund you.
Same thing with ful pumps. If you don't flush your tank before fitting a new one and it ceases, no warranty.
