Re: 280mm bolt on Brake upgrade kits for MK1 is here!!!
Yes
The discs are available from any branch. Although not all branches keep stock of the discs, they can certainly order from head office.
These discs are used for the Polo Cup racing cars.
Please bear in mind that we at GW Delarey give special discount to Forum Members, so the prices might vary between branches.
However as you are in Durban, it will probably be cheaper to buy the discs local, rather than courier it down.
Due to the weight, discs are not very cost effective to mail/courier.

Re: 280mm bolt on Brake upgrade kits for MK1 is here!!!
Just spoke to the post office.
Postage (Normal post) to Durban will be around R100 for the SET of discs
Our Club price for a set of discs (Febi) is currently R766
Counter price is R 966
If you are interested in a set, we can sort you out.
If you need brackets as well, postage will probably be even more cost effective.

Ah finally an upgrade that would sort out the rim clearance and the loose disc.
Do you have a set available? I am in Midrand and can make a turn on Saturday since I will be passing by. I already have ATE pads so only need the bracket and discs for now. Please can you confirm a price, thanks

Re: 280mm bolt on Brake upgrade kits for MK1 is here!!!
I got a set, installed them on Saturday, and it is crazy I really have to learn the brakes all over again. On the old setup I could just hammer on the brakes, with these, not so much
Awesome piece of kit, quality looks very good, no issues installing, only had a casting imperfection on my carrier that needed cleaning for the bracket to fit snugly. All in all, a brilliant piece of kit. Thanks guys.
No problem and glad you like it !

Re: 280mm bolt on Brake upgrade kits for MK1 is here!!!
guys I tried to source the same 280mm braking disk and am afraid the disk to work they have a bolt on bracket.......of which the brackets I can`t find here at GW BOTSWANA but only in S.A
at the shop I was advised to buy the 230mm ventilated, crosshatched disk for the new citi`s
now I want to know wound`t this disks increase/ upgrade mi braking perfomance...
mind you am driving a caddy fitted with ADY
DOES THE DISK SIZE MATTER?

Hi mr
The brackets is only available from me. We can post it to you if you want. Yes they make a difference and you would need less foot pressure to make it stop .

Can someone tell me if this 280mm Brake Disk is available @ the Goldwagen branches in Cape Town already? Whats the difference between the FEBI disk and ATE besides pricing and quality? I didn't read of anybody using the ATE disk and a difference in price between the 2 different makes?

Hi mr
The brake upgrade is only available from us . The discs on the other hand is available from any Goldwagen.
I have found no quality difference between Febi, ATE and Meyle . The big difference is price. I can post it down to you for R55.00 extra
