A dash mat sits on top of the dashboard and protects if from the sun very common on cars in Australia, I got it as it saves me wiping the dust off and also it sometimes helps stop the suns reflection onto the windscreen.
I would be interested in how many litres/100klms your Golf are getting, mine is the 90TSI I think you call them a 1.4 TSI and I get 6.0 L/100 klms combined city and open road.

My consumption, is way high.
between 7 - 8. I drive between Midrand and Melrose every day.
No traffic, I get between 5.5 and 6

Long distance, JHB to Durbs averaged 5.0
I've never seen consumption below 5.

I'm really surprised to see kripstoe's 3.8.

Not that strong or I underestimated my strength.

Anyhow my car is at VW this morning to have the waste gate clip fitted. Cannot wait for that rattle to be gone. I am also having them take a look at the plastic housing in front of the rear view mirror. The one side of the plastic housing seems to have come undone. Hope they can just clip it back in.

G-Unit, usually the sensor sits on the inside of the valve, if that together with the whole valve setup can be removed from the OE rims and retrofitted on the new rims there is no reason for it not to work. The sensor communicates via Bluetooth if not mistaken....all of this at least is how it works on my BMW motorcycle, one would assume they are all similar.

Yes that would be the high end tyre pressure monitor which shows the actual tyre pressure as well. I only have the flat tyre monitor in my car. I think that works with the rolling circumference of the wheel to detect a flat tyre.

TPMS works with the ABS sensors and monitors wheel speed. If it changes to what the car is used to from the other wheels it'll notify you.

Any wheel will work with the TPMS.

Dawie, great to hear yours is quiet now. I've listened to mine and after 1300km it is still very quiet, touch wood. I took a similar pic to yours yesterday and it seems there is a slight difference between the 90kw TSI wastegate rod and the 103kw TSI one I've got. Are there anyone with a TSI Highline that has experienced the rattle? I hope not... :-)

Here's what mine looks like...seems there is no adjustment on that rod.

That to me looks like a redesign. You might just be lucky and never see any issues.
