Just got my pipe tips -they'll be going on tonight! They look quite large in the flesh, so much so that I had to check if they weren't too big for the tailpipe on my car, but they fit the diameter perfectly.

Looks good. I also ordered, but got the black ones (by mistake  ). Dealership said they'll exchange so I'm just waiting.

They have 3 allen keys that you tighten at the bottom. No welding necessary.

Like Kripstoe said, they attach with three grub screws each. Hope they don't get stolen as it won't be too difficult to do.

I'll take before and after pics tonight when I fit them...

Thanks.

btw. Here are the black ones. They're not bad, just not for a white car.

Kripstoe, interestingly enough the box with the black ones says on it Golf A7 while the box with the stainless ones says Beelte.

Here's a couple before and after pics with mine fitted:

The short grub screws are still in their packet - I used the ones that were already screwed into the tailpiece. I do however think that the grub screws towards the rear can probably be replaced with the short ones and it will look a bit neater.

UPDATE: It looks like the short grubs screws might be slightly too short - they go in an hold the tailpiece, but they don't use all the tread on the tailpiece. I'd be too scared to loose my expensive pipe tips!

I found these on E-Bay I don't know what price the genuine VW ones are though. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-7-MK7 ... 1166931627

Cheaper options here but not sure on the size.

Rpps, search on eBay for 5c5 071 911c - that's the part no of the genuine VW one and you'll be able to compare price.

Rpps, check what your VW dealer asks for those pipe tips. For once it seems that ours in South Africa are similarly priced, if not slightly cheaper, than ones available on the Internet.

Looking good there rpps. I just fitted my polished chrome exhaust tips from VW. Not 100% happy with the fit but will play around some more with placement. I see your after market ones protrude quite far out.

Thanks I'm getting there with the car, yeah the tips do stick out a bit but I like them to protrude a bit out past the bumper, I could shorten them up if I wanted.. I had trouble fitting these after market tips which I got from the local Repco auto shop, I had to make up sleeves to fit over the exhaust to take up the slack. It seems that the exhaust pipe VW use isn't a common size and it was hard finding the right diameter tip, these were 63mm where it fits onto the original exhaust and 75mm at the other end. Which is a bit bigger than the genuine ones but looking from behind the car all you see is these nice big round pipes and they look good, better than what I thought chrome exhaust tips would.

Now anxiously waiting for my dash mat to arrive this week and then I'm done for a while http://www.accessoriesonline.com.au/sho ... featured=Y
After fitting the new Alloy wheels I have noticed a slight vibration through the car, apparently one of my tyres is slightly out of round (Goodyear) but I stuck it on the back and I will replace in time, I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of claiming warranty with it.
I only have the Radio to be fix now and hopefully I soon will be able to pick up FM reception better, I'm keeping a close eye on this forum for any news about the upcoming software update and the results.

Hi Dawie, please post an pic or two of your exhaust tips. I'm also not 100% happy with mine, not too sure if it looks a little OTT!

Sure I will take a photo after I am happier with the fit. I measured the exhaust ends and they are 60 mm while the new tips are 76 mm. Seems a bit overkill.
