Pleasure boet ....glad your dad enjoyed the day ...I love hearing all the old stories that the older folk hve from the track ....I lady who was 80 something pulld me aside , and she was a medic at the track and was telling stories about all the guys crashing here and there ...she had a tear in her eye when Rod Gray was peddling he 78 championship bike around the track during lunch....sad we wont have another one ....

those hilarious non wheel bolt tightening guys with the golfs are UDC (Ugen) and UV ......great guys ... I heart them !!!!!

Jazz wrote:Had a great time!!! Brought my dad with who use to race Anglias and Capri's in his younger days for fun and he thoroughly enjoyed seeing the older Estcourts, Alfa , Nissan 280z and Renault on track. Not to mention how they kept up with some newer generation cars. I just want to thank some of the Durban guys with the 1 x Red MKI and the 1 x White & 1 x Red MKII golfs (sorry..never got your names) for their fantastic hospitality in providing us with some shade when the days' temperature got a bit sizzling and thanx 4 all the laughs with real entertaining comments. You helped making a good day out a great day out. Also..Thanx to Rob, Lawrence and everyone who organised the event. Just a pity there won't be another one at Hesketh.
:hi: Hey Jazz

Nice to see you on Sat bud - so glad you made it. Also glad that the rest of the KZN VW Club boys came to the party and looked after you! :hurray:

I cannot take any of the credit for organizing anything - that was all Rob's doing - I just rocked up and had the time of my life peddling the polo around Hesketh.

Being my first (and last) one, my heart is sore knowing there won't be another one there - I cannot begin to imagine how okes like Rob must feel. What a sad end to and awesome place for KZN to have fun.

Bunker - you HAVE to organize another track day, somehow....

Go rob a bank or something.... (there are many trains passing your shop on a daily basis, and a scrap metal place next door - let's make a plan boet)

I want to go to Hesketh again
