Factory alarm or aftermarket - Citi

Post by Farhad1 »

Does anyone know if I could fit the standard factory alarm on my CTI?

I currently have the complete new lock set from new spec Citi's which includes a key that has an alarm remote(deactivation/activation) button on it. Since i need to fit an alarm, I was hoping that maybe the standard factory alarm could be fitted and I could just enode the key remote.

Alternatively, would it be possible to encode the key remote to any other aftermarket alarm, the SANJI one in particular.

Please help.

Howzat bra

Try these guys in Randburg - MotoRadio 0117893301

They were able to code my bra's e36 M3 key to activate his Netstar simultaneously with the standard alarm

The factory alarm is rubbish, my previous velo was stolen twice, the first time i caught the guys and all they do i go under the car, remove the red wire that goes onto the starter, climb in the car and remove the alarm. other trick is to go under the car and cut the hooter wire. rather get an after market alarm with the alarm hooter separate and hidden. some brilliant after market alarms that cut power to the coil as well, and make it tricky to steal a car... the vw alarm just adds 20 seconds to the time it takes to steal a car.

I am in the process of reverse-engineering my Autowatch remote and the Citi key remote so I can try build the Autowatch PC board into the Citi key. I will let you know how it goes.
