I thought so too. Like I said last night, it sparks 3 times then dies. On the coil lead the spark is there throughout when you crank the motor but on the dizzy leads it only sparks three times when you crank it the dies. So I'm going to check the window issue like you said. We'll see. I just thought maybe someone might have a different idea.

The coil driver is the part of the ecu that creates the signal to operate the coil. Think you might need to swap out the ecu to check if it works. Alternatively you could rig up a seperate tp100 and coil and check if the engine starts this way.

When you stop swinging the starter can you still hear the idle motor buzzing in the throttle body?

I've already taken my ECU to test on a friend's car and it worked. I've heard the buzzing just not sure it was from the t/b. I will double check tonight.

Well, yesterday on my way home I called the Engineering place to try and find out if they're done with the fabrication. It was only then that they got the material. So I'm hoping it will be done today as all the necessary cuts were made already. I'm going to give them a call now.

I got home and the battery was dead like yours. So I hooked it up to the charger and worked on the interior. The Carpet is in, driver's seat and the top half of the dash. The side water flange cracked and wasted all the water at that moment so I had to attend to that as well. I got the new flange but need something to blank the old water temp sender hole. Any ideas? The hole is about 14mm wide.

Fantastic solution. Just 9 years late. As a seemingly newby maybe look at the post dates if you were searching for something and you feel you have a solution for it. It's likely he came right in the past 9 years or gave up.
