Howzit Guys
A friend of mine has a 2001 polo playa. Recently his been experiencing problems regarding the starting of the vehicle.
He replaced the bougi cables, and coil. Things seemed to fine until yesterday when the car refused to start. The car still has a swing but there seems to be no fire ... We are gonna replace the coil today.
My question is, does this mean the computer box is damaged in any way and if it was, would the car swing at all ????
Thanks Gents

First one needs to know if there is spark or petrol. Then one can step by step trace it back.

It could it depends on what in the comp box had gone if anything.
The MP9 comp box at times causes crap but it would be the first time I would hear of it causing the car not to start...but still swing.
Thinking of it is the timing still OK ?

Coil failure is a common problem on those. Could aslo be the reader coil for the immobiliser and yes it will still swing the motor but no fire. best way to check that is to plug a vag unit in and see if the immobiliser is been de-activated.

Continuesly swings. Car has fuel and a new battery. Please help me. Figure out what could be wrong. I checked the plugs and it's sparks perfectly. So. I'm clueless now

Re: Polo Swinging but not Starting
He says there is spark. Have you checked for fuel pressure.
Could be pump, pump relay, broken fuel, rail. All common issues on those
