Installing Mp9 Fuel pump?
Just want to check i have my fuel lines set up correct? I have the mp9 pump with one 8mm nozzle coming out the front of the pump and at the back another 8mm nozzle and a 15mm nozzle. As far as i know, the 8mm in the front goes to fuel rail in. The 8mm at the back is from fuel rail return and the 15mm is tank to pump. Is my setup correct?

Re: Installing Mp9 Fuel pump?
As per pic above, pipe on right goes to fuel rail in. Then there are two pipes on the left. The thick one goes to the tank and the thin one is the return from the fuel. Therefore there's only one pipe coming out of the tank which is the thick one. Is this correct?

Re: Installing Mp9 Fuel pump?
IIRC the actual fuel return coming from the fuel rail goes straight to the tank at the top, where the fuel gauge sender is.
The fuel pump has 2 inputs and 1 output.
The thick pipe at the bottom of the tank goes into the 15mm input on the pump.
Then theres another thinner pipe more towards the top of the tank at the top corner I think that goes into the 8mm input of the pump.

Re: Installing Mp9 Fuel pump?
hi i'm slowly getting there. I'm converting a caddy tank to mp9 so its not the same as a golf. Got the output of the pump to the fuel rail. Got the thick input from bottom of tank to input. I know thats correct cause it pumps. Now what to do with the smaller input? My options: Fuel rail return to small input or both fuel rail return and small input to tank? Which option?

Re: Installing Mp9 Fuel pump?
Ok. Sorry so many questions but now one more. Why then two inputs a small and a big one? Why not just use the big one?

Re: Installing Mp9 Fuel pump?
this is a guess, but I think its a return for the fuel pump.

Re: Installing Mp9 Fuel pump?
There are 3 fuel connections on that pump - 1 in front & 2 at rear.
In front
1.) single 8mm connection - 8mm supply to fuel rail
At rear
1.) 13mm connection - supply from fuel tank to pump
2.) 8mm connection - this is also a return - from fuel pump to tank via the petrol float (6mm)
The second 8mm fuel line under the car is a return from the fuel rail, which runs into the tank, more or less in the same vicinity as the 13mm supply. You will see (through the open float mount position) that this 8mm return runs directly into the baffle which feeds the 13mm supply.

Re: Installing Mp9 Fuel pump?
So can i join the return from the pump and the return from the fuel rail with a T-piece and then into the tank at the bottem. Got a Caddy so i don't have the return on top at the float
