Ruststop

Post by rajeev »

Hi all, season's greetings.

Does anybody have experience with the Ruststop system?

I have the rs.5 system fitted to 2 vehicles, 2014 pajero sport and 2011 Honda crv and both systems return a red fault light on, on the Ruststop control module.

The green flashing light is also on indicating operation, but the output voltage between the anode and ground is just under 12V when it is supposed to be 45V.

We changed the crv system 3 times with brand new replacements and within a day, it goes into fault.

I doubt the vehicles are at fault since they are both factory standard with only a tracking system as additional to factory specifications.

The installer in DBN has no clue on the cause of the issue and I have yet to receive any feedback from Ruststop overseas.

Any comments are appreciated.

Thanks.

You wasted your money on those systems. Rustop electronic rust prevention systems are the same as the magnets for fuel lines, they simply do not work.

Did you check out the grounding system and is the anode properly insulated and no build up where the anode fits through its insulation?

Hi, I did check the anode connections and ensured the correct tape type, etc.

The SA rep is going to check it out again......maybe he will get it right...
