2.0 Audi Oil

My in laws just picked up a used Audi 2.0 with 77 000km. a 2006 model from a friend.

Service is due. What grade oil should we be looking at. The motor is bvz 2lt.

Internet says 5W40 oil spec.
Check on the car manual as well if its there or go to your local GW and they should be able to assist with service kit.

My go to oil for "normal" motors is always Shell HX-5. I use HX-8 in my golf and HX-3 in my bakkie.

Check the cars user manual, in addition to the grade of oil it will tell you any specific requirements like VW 505 or VW 507 specifications.
