It's a 3 year old car, there shouldn't be anything needing replacement. No necessary preventative replacements either.

Thanks bud. Regarding accessories, the car comes with a down pipe...Would you suggest JB4 or remap? If remap, which one would you recommend?
Also, is the Oetinger replica good quality for a boot spoiler?

I see you mentioned that the car comes with a DP, did you check if it's not tuned

Is it fair to assume that every gti owner "hammered" their car before selling it.
I'm thinking of getting Golf6/7 gti aswell.

Look, you do get some retards behaving like that, regardless of them driving gti's. They would abuse a Datsun Go too.

Not all have been spiritedly driven, look out for the posers...seat angle @45%, with the driver's seatbelt permanently clipped in (coz they sit on it).
Ex:
'09 Mk5 GTI DSG(My definition of happiness)
'02 Polo Classic 1.6
'98 Fiesta 1.3(Ford, never again)
'90 Sentra 1.3

Not really, if you go to car events (such as ones organised by the forum) you will notice that most guys really take car of their rides

I cannot imagine someone flocking or hammering their precious loved possession

I for one I hardly do above 120 in my Mk7 Gti ImageImageImage

common failures around 60k km onwards on those are water pumps or thermostats. had a radiator or two as well.

Hi Panic

How easy is it to spot the symptoms of failing water pumps or thermostat early or its a case of only noticing an issue when it's worse

low water level warnings is your first clue. overheating is your next clue. Fluctuating water temp readings in another.

Guys, please confirm the following..

- how many footwell lights are in a 2016 gti? Only front passenger working for me.
-how many speakers and where are they located? Seems the previous owner had modified sound and removed back door mids.

2 footwell lights (front only)

Standard speakers, 8 I think (might be wrong) as sound happens to be one of those things I hardly pay attention to in a car
