2012 polo 1.6i not starting

Hi guys,

my girlfriend's car mentioned above is having problems and I don't know where to go for help, I'm around east rand mall.

She told me that this morning it didn't want to start and the neighbor helped her to start it. But when it started the first time the electric windows and power steering did not work until she turned it off and on again. I'm suspecting the alternator or something is draining the battery when the car is off.

Do you know what might be the problem and where to get help?

How old is the battery?

Around 6 months. When it did the same thing before, we jump-started the car and went to the the battery centre to get the battery tested. It needed replaced and bought a new one.

What brand battery did you buy? Did the shop do a test and see if your alternator as over or under charging? The battery should still be under warranty so maybe take the car back to them and get it checked out.
