Hi guys. Yes I know it’s a query for a ford on the Vw forum but my brother in law has an ecoboost eco sport and the dealership is absolutely unable(surprise surprise) to fix a misfire code on cylinder three. Anyone have any advice on a ford expert who might be able to diagnose the problem?
Thanks all

Re: Ford help needed
Rather odd as Ford's are usually good at firing.
Seriously though , Check the following,
Worn/Bad Spark Plugs - Can swop these to isolate
bad/worn Injectors or wiring - Can swop these to isolate
bad/worn Coil packs or wiring - Can swop these to isolate
A Diagnostic scan will help greatly to point you in the right direction but also know that sometimes , if the part is not completely faulty, it will not throw a code.
Also you'll be able to know whats going on in the cylinder by removing the spark plugs and assessing it.
BUT......If under warranty...take it back to the dealer and make them fix it.

Re: Ford help needed
Well unfortunately the car is out of warranty. So for now they have “cleaned and reconnected everything”, and presented him with a quote for R26k for replacing the injectors. But they admit they don’t know what’s wrong. The engine light came back on within 24 hours.
He’s trying Parkhurst Auto. Let’s hope that works out for him.
Thanks for the input chaps
