Aligning... Doors and tailgate

Post by amanita_king »

Hie guys... so I recently got my hands on fresh new spec doors and tailgate from a velo and decided to put them on my chico which had the old spec .... after the hassle of removing the rusted bolts and taking off the doors ...i put on the new ones thinking its gonna be a breeze

Doors seem off dnt wanna close properly. I hve to literally BANG them HARD for them to close as they shld...tried aligning them with two other friends still its a struggle to get to that sweet spot seems impossible as for the tailgate ive totally given up!

any ideas guys? Advice, or tricks yall hve used before

fiddle fiddle first and then you realize that certain year models don't fit across to others. They changed the pressings at some point and there is no guarantee that they all crossfit to another.

Have you tried adjusting the striker pins?
