Barney wrote: Wed Sep 18, 2013 1:46 am So during a normal midnight internet trawling I came across this website that has manuals for pretty much all VW models and instructions on how to do almost anything. It is a bit of a hack to work your way around but it is really in depth and step by step.

Hope you guys find this useful
Man thank you for this link http://volkswagen.workshop-manuals.com/, it was really useful and I found out something new about VW. :hurray:

Hi all,

I've got a 2006 Polo with a 1.4 BLM engine (petrol), but can't find that particular model on Haynes (https://haynes.com/en-gb/car-manuals/volkswagen). Is any of the alternative manuals compatible with my model? Is it a big difference? What about this physical manual (https://autobooks.co.za/product/volkswa ... ynes-4608/), would it be compatible?

Thank you for your advice!
Still on my first car (1.4 Polo (BLM)). I'm not a mechanic, but eager to learn all about servicing and fixing it. Thanks for your patience and help!

Any idea where I can find a manual for 2008 SEAT Ibiza 1.4?
I believe it is similar to the Polo 9N?
I need a wiring diagram - front and rear doors on the drivers side do not lock and the alarm doesn't seem to activate.

Thank you.

Door lock mechanism has a micro switch inside. The replacement part is R20 at an electronics parts shop.

Locking is dependent on the driver's door lock providing the signal to the Body module that the door is closed. When the switch fails that data is missing and the command from the remote is ignored. Locking manually with the key should still work, but doesn't trigger the rest of the doors to lock.

Difficulty of this repair is about 7/10, but there are video tutorials you can watch.

Thanks for the reply.
The 2 passenger doors lock and unlock. With the remote and the key.
But neither door on the drivers side. Well of course the drivers door locks with the key.
I was hoping there is a common connector somewhere

I have found fuse 32 blown but doesn't seem to do anything. It seems to be central locking pre 2006. Mine is 2008.

Get a VagCom on the car and check what the body module has to say.
