It could even be your immobiliser that's cutting power to both those components, start eliminating issue by fixing it..
We can't pin point issues when several components are involved!
Before asking another question try something or take it to your nearest mechanic.

The reason I told you to start the car with the spare key numbnuts, is that your specific Polo has a RFID tagged key, and if you dropped your key, or the chip got damaged, the ECU will not mobilize the vehicle, and will not fire the pump or allow spark.
As for the second suggestion of an ECU relay or fuse, you might want to start by using the little book you recieved with your car, in it are the fuse numbers, so check those. As far as the ECU relay, use the search function, you will find something.
But you probably wont, as you are one of those cretins that wants to be spoon fed, a lot of good suggestions have been given, its up to you to go and check up on them, using some of your own brain power.
And no, this site is not supposed to help people that have issues with their VW's. It is simply a home for a bunch of enthusiasts to converse, and along the lines we help each other out, but since you barge in with an attitude, you did not take any time to grasp the ethos of this place.
Its a Polo chap, it does not have the worlds most complicated electrical system, anyone with a multimeter will have it starting in 30min.

Actually it will start for a second and then die...

Can be, but those coils rarely just DIE. They get progressively worse.
If both the Fuel Pump and the Coil are not getting triggered you have an issue higher up.
Check that the ECU is getting power.
Check that the hall sender is working fine, easy way to check this is to see if the rev counter picks up at all while cranking. (It wont if the ECU is dead)
Check main fuses in the bonnet
There are lots of options, you need to work systematically.

My Coil just gave up one day without any warning signs (if there are any) and ended up having to replace Distributor and Coil.
I didnt read all the comments and suggestions, but try getting another coil and distributor to test, start with the coil first.
