What does 3 vin mean ? It can only be used on 3 different vehicles ?

Correct
This is an enthusiast Interface for use on up to three (3) different VAG vehicles (VIN numbers).

The VIN limit, restricts the number of VAG vehicles an enthusiast can perform full functions on, thus for a 3-VIN Interface, full functionality will be limited to the 3 vehicles of which the VIN is registered on the Interface. A VIN limited Interface can be upgraded at a later stage

Y is this stuff so expensive are there no other device that can do the same job ...its only for me to use personally once every 3months if I owned a workshop it's a good investment but for something u will use once in 3months it's over priced

I agree it has got rather expensive. What area are you in? Maybe someone in the club could assist with running scans for you.

Hi Guys.

Noob here.
Have a 2017 VW caddy.

Does using VCDS become apparent to the dealer as the car is still under warranty

Want to know if possible to do the following tweaks.

1. Beep on lock
2. Lock doors automatically when driving off
3 activate voice function.

Where do I find the codes?

Anyone that can assist me in Durban (Morningside)?

- Don't think a dealer is going to cancel a warranty by adding a beep on the alarm.
- Is this not something you can set using the setting on the multi function display? I'd be surprised if this was not enabled by default if the car supported it
- don't think this is something that can be done via VCDS. It sounds like a dealer activated option

Thanks for a reply.

No, there is no option on MFD for those settings.
I thought it needs to be activated on the backend first.

Activate it all if coded with a OEM vcds cable then the dealer will leave you alone.
