And dont think you can mod the 9N series N/A Engines ie. (1.4 1.6 2.0)
Listen to the advice of not building what you can buy.
Besides, spending R30k to go from 1.4 to 1.6 is already a retarded idea, and the 2L just makes 85kw which also isn't
as wow for the money spent.
Sell it and buy a stronger polo, or something else.
This is not a citigolf with millions of engine spares that are cheap.
An entire 2L conversion on a citi golf will cost less than an engine from the 9n range.

Having just done an engine upgrade on my Polo I can vouch for the fact that there's always something else that pops up and needs attention.

Re: Polo 9N Engine Swap Options...
The 9n polo runs a differnt version of management. It ain't mp9 anymore. You might have a lot more issues getting it mapped otherwise etc and issues with immobiliser etc. or youbwill end up going aftermarket which will add a whole chunk of extra cost and complication into your conversion. Honestly the car you want to build exist and unless you get the bits for free and don'tpay for labour it will cot you more than trading your in and buying a polo gti or something.

Re: Polo 9N Engine Swap Options...
Hey guys, I was thinking of possibly doing this conversion as my oil light came on and ticking sound on the motor. I’m scared to let mechanics look at it because I know they’ll want to rip my pockets apart? Any suggestions on what to do guys? I have a polo 1.6 BAH

Re: Polo 9N Engine Swap Options...
Yes rebuild. Don't convert. The conversation went about not doing the conversion if you actually read it.

Find a second motor or rebuild your current motor.Eej01 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 12:08 pm Hey guys, I was thinking of possibly doing this conversion as my oil light came on and ticking sound on the motor. Re: Polo 9N Engine Swap Options...
Can a 1.4 clp motor fit into a 1.2 tendline 2011 aswell as the wiring and would u have to swop the gearbox or add a adapter plate to fit the gearbox of a 1.2 trend line , or would u have to swop the gearbox aswell
