Electronic/Low voltage errors - On Polo 6r

Post by Preggz »

Hi Guys,
i drive Polo 6r Gti hand my car sat for sometime has i was rebuilding my motor (Piston Failure :bang: ) anyhow.
Had a battery drain all due to my Tracking Unit i had. Which caused lots of low voltage errors. I removed the Tracking unit which solved the battery drain and effectively damaged my Battery which i also upgraded to a bigger battery Sabat 652 low voltage errors was gone.

Now it came back about 2 months later
Recently I had my rear warning taillight bulb come on, on my cluster checked all rear lights all working fine.
Turned ignition off & on-again warning bulb gone.
Also tyre pressure warning came on yesterday upon starting and went off are few seconds, but the pressure is correct.
Today while driving the radio switched off and came on about 3 times while driving.
Got home about 3hours later had to go to the shops started car saw steering wheel warning on my cluster and steering was hard to turn almost like locked, Turned ignition off & on-again warning gone steering unlocked and could drive.

I did scan my car with ODB eleven tool and these are some of the Faults it picked up

Control unit: 02 Transmission
Faults:
P177F - Hydraulic pump motor Insuff. voltage
Intermittent i did have this error few months back i had a battery drain after sorted the battery drain and error went along with it.

Control unit: 03 Brakes
Faults:
U010100 - Lost Communication with TCM
Intermittent

Control unit: 09 Central Electrics
Faults:
00532 - Supply voltage Open circuit
Intermittent

Control unit: 17 Dashboard
Faults:
U111100 - Function limitation due to missing message
Intermittent

Control unit: 19 Gateway
Faults:
01315 - Transmission control module (TCM) No signal/communication
Intermittent

So it seems to me there is a Voltage Power/Earth issue's or could be Fuse's, Relays or Even the Alternator.
But i want to go the less expensive route Checking Earth, Fuse's, Relays 1st before jumping to the Alternator.

can some point me in the right direction on how about to Fault find.

Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Preggz.

Check the big fuses in the front for damage and cracks, then make sure both battery terminals are seated correctly, free of corrosion and sufficiently tightened.

Front left of the engine bay next to the air intake box and the left headlight.

You will recognise it by following the wiring harness into it.
