1.2 TSi CJZ engine timing marks

Post by JayMechs »

Hi All
Please help, I tried to look for the timing marks on the cam pulleys but could find any. Does the two have any reference to indicate TDC?

You need a engine timing kit.

Interference cam and crank pulleys mean that you will not find any marks anywhere. The crank is pinned and the cams are locked using the tool set, the cam belt is installed with all the pulleys loosened off and able to rotate easily. The belt then get tensioned to spec and all the pulleys are tightened in sequence. Lock tools are removed and engine rotated 720°. Reinstall the tools to confirm timing, if it all fits easily then close it up and hit send.
