DSG 7 Speed Hydraulic Accumulator leaking

Post by iceburn »

After some research on the net I found what my problem is. While driving where the D1,2,3,4,5,6,7 is showing in the instrument cluster, a spanner symbols appears but only after while. It only starts appearing lets say if I drive from Meyerton to Alberton. My DSG gears shift up and down normally like they should, no problems at all. Only after driving for sometime (from Meyerton to Alberton) I get this spanner flashing where my D7 etc is showing. The car drives normally whithout any issues. When I switch off the car it dissapears and only after a while it will start to flash again. Gears are fine everything. I checked and at the top where the cap is, its leaking some oil.
Who or where can i take the car to get it fixed? Anyone else had this issue?

Prepare some lube, or get some vaseline as each cheaper.

You going to need it.

That's first sign of the mechatronics failing.

go see these guys:

Not sure if they are now repairable, but previously it was a replacement type job, in the region of R25k
