2012 90kw - Turbo Replacement

Post by demongp »

Hello,

I'm a long time lurker, have not posted but have got some good info from the forum previously. I hope to find some help for my current problem :).

I have a 2012 90kw TSI Golf, and the Turbo has started acting up the last month or two. The agent did a check, and suggested that the actuator (?) is a problem, and the turbo probably needs replacement. Of course the price at the agent will be around R40k, which I'm not really in the mood to pay.

Which other options would you guys perhaps suggest? I'm looking for another place to buy the turbo from, and perhaps a suggestion for a shop to help me fit it (preferably in Centurion or close by).

Thanks guys.

Get a second opinion at a decent independent mechanic...
