If i can't find a grommet on the firewall, I take it under the fender (tucked in the fender liner) into the door jamb grommet, there's almost always a spare grommet there (where the door harness enters the body of the car) on most cars.. Don't know about a g5

Sure thanks. I was thinking of running it through the bonnet release cable grommet. But i cant even get the wiper arms off to take off that rain tray thing

Easiest way is do what Ashveer said ...the spare hole is very difficult to see on the mk5 I puzzled since my car is black, the rubber is black and It was dark at night lol couldn't see it at all lol it's behind the door harness on the body ...normally on other cars it's either on top or bottom but this 1 is hidden might not see with the eye but put ur hand behind it n u will feel it

There’s a grommet on the Mk5 under the rain tray on the passenger side

Also can feed it through the firewall on the main harness grommet
