Eos 2.0l Fsi DSG

Post by jhsvd1967 »

I would like to change the DSG gearbox oil on my EOS.
I have checked out some videos and some use a laptop and some dont during the oil change. I have been told locally that you can not do the oil change without using a laptop and software to recalibrate gearbox.
Is this true?

oh dear - we have done about 50 of them at least without calibration. guess we will have to phone all them to get it done.
Short answer. No you don't HAVE to do a recalibration and sometimes it makes a problem.
