Tiguan Allspace 132kw vs 162kw

Post by Ram013 »

Greetings

I'm a newbie to the forum and am considering buying a Tiguan Allspace next year.

I'd appreciate if anyone could enlighten me regarding differences in the internals between both engines. Google wasn't helpful...

Thanks

What engines are you referring to? I am not that familiar with the Allspace but the current Tiguan has a few engine options differing in both capacity, output and fuel type.

This gives a better idea of the different options, I see you are referring to the 2.0TSI engines in Comfortline (132kw) and Highline (162kw) specification...

Both EA888 engines , 132KW CCZD & 162KW CHHB (Golf 7 GTI)

CCZD being an older gen engine, There's alot of differences between the two, Turbo, Crank , Cylinder walls, VVT on both intake and exhaust on the newer engine to mention a few.

Does the spec level of the Comfortline and Highline differ greatly?

Yes , enough to eat up the price difference never mind the motor.

Yup definitely worthwhile

Have the normal current Tiguan and we we looking to upgrade to the All Space

The boot with the extra seats flat is massive

And helps when you have a few kids and family to transport around

The flexibility is worth it IMO

Update: Bit the bullet and got the 162kw.

Pleasantly surprised that despite its bulk and big sidewalls(235/55/18), it handles remarkably well. They got the gearing right as the acceleration is ample (old GTI-habits never die...).

Yeah we picked up the 132kw Allspace R-line

Can feel the extra mass but the extra torque over the 1.4 makes up for it

Loving it

Thanks bud, "blue silk metallic". It's not the R-line though, somehow as I get old, the thought of 20's on a SUV make me cringe. I've spent too many years dodging potholes with my GTI. Another reason is school fees...
