I've already contacted David and no longer is offering the kit.

I drove my father's one for about 3 years, they are solid cars. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Great ride, handling isn't great but it's not bad either. The 1.8t 20v motor can take a serious beating. You have to be seriously heavy foot to break something. The one I drove was manual 6spd quattro, and they're like stink off the line. I guess you can compare the service prices to that of all the 1.8t audi vehicles that use the AUG motor. It was never a money pit for us, we just gave it its services and it kept on going, never had any diff problems or gearbox related problems, or any problems for that matter.CRASH_IT wrote:
I know this is off topic here please don't hate me. LOL
I am sitting here wondering the cost of maintenance cost of a TT 1.8t. Is parts freely available from your common parts shop, lets use Goldwagen for example?
I know the 8L S3 can burn holes in some wealthy peoples pockets. LOL
GREAT BUILD BY THE WAY. Ill be keeping an eye on this one.
I tune these ECUs without Eurodyne. I've owned and used Eurodyne Maestro before and it's greatly lacking in the kind of fine detail needed, especially when you add in variables, like performance cams etc. And it's hugely expensive. There just simply aren't enough maps/tables as part of the interface.
Agreed
Im also curious to see the results ...are they big enough though ? Looks kinda small for such a beast
