Hi guys
Assembling my bottom end from my golf. Was 1.4, changed it to 1.8. The crank had to be cut 10 thou. When I went to buy thrust washers master parts said they not keep standard thrust washers. I have 10 thou bearings. Can I use the standard thrust washers or do I need to get 10 thou thrust washers ? Thanks in advance

Re: Thrust washer advise for a 10 thou crank
You need to assemble the crank in the crankcase along with all the bearings (including the thrust bearings), and measure the clearance.
The only time thrust surfaces on cranks are cut is if the surfaces were damaged.
Long story short, assemble and measure crank end play and only that will determine what thrust bearings to use.
