Polo Playa 2000 Gauge Fault

Hi Guys,

I have a 2000 Polo Playa Millenium Dash,
Ever since i installed a 2lt ADY with a Dictator management system my Temp and Petrol gauges do not work.

The guy that installed the engine for me told me that its becos it was all hooked up to the MP9 and now that its out,
The gauges will have to be connected to aftermarket ones.

Is this TRUE???????
