2009 citi sport 1.4i Airbag spec (how to reset the airbag light)

Good Day guys

I have 2009 citi sport 1.4i airbag spec

The airbag light is on because we had to change the indicator/light switch as it was not illuminating brights.

thus the airbag was unplugged

now it is ilumunated on my dash.

how do i reset it so it don't show no more ?

Do you have a OBD II Port?

As in the Polos and Golf/Jetta of that era, you have to clear the light through a diagnostic machine like VCDS, and only if the fault is fixed, as it will just come back then.

I would suggest getting someone to clear the codes for you using a diagnostic machine.

I dont have vcds

thought there is a code/sequence like with the service reset ? if there is any ?

There is no error or fault on the airbag , it was unplugged to change the indicator switch

Anyone use a program successfully with a elm327 diagnostic cable on VW cars?

Any1 willing to clear it for me in boksburg or edenvale area?

Check the VCDS registry under Technical discussions, Technical Motorvehicle related discussions, you will see there is a VAG COM / VCDS Register topic, find someone in your area from there.
