Lifters noise after oil change

Post by MEAZY »

Hey all,

Need some advise. Have a 2006 GTi 2.0 with 140 000km on the clock.

I did an oil change by using the 5w 40 Helix Ultra fully synthetic oil but now my lifters sounds louder.
Oil level is at max, what can this be.

Thanks for your input in advance

Wrong oil viscosity. Check the manual for proper oil grade.

Check oil spec, look for a 5w 30 that has VW oil spec 504 or 507 for the rating(I could be wrong).

Make sure you use the correct oil or even buy from VW as pricing isn't too bad.

Oil has to meet VW 502.00 or 504.00 spec for that motor.
