Guys.... soon Im doing the 2.0 thing on my 1.4 Citi. Brakes done, suspension done except for front ARB.
2.0 is stock, nicely refreshed, new mains and bigends and pumps. All goodies attached fresh with 2E Dizzy....
Now
I put a very mild 268 cam and its new, so I need to break it in..... now the real question..... I bought a complete new polo cup 2.0 street mapped ecu from Allan in Houtbaai.... as far as I can gather, his ecu’s are good.
I want to plug it into my 1.4i and test it before I strip the car. I dont want to sit with the new lump in and not get het to start and wonder what the hell, especially breaking in a new cam....
Are they plug and play to the extent that I can switch over and back with no hassles?? Iv seen guys mentioning about resets and hard resets and stuff?!?
Any advise...??!
Ps..... I do have a reader, its a Autel Maxscan Vag405, for what its worth....

Yes you can test the new ecu that way.
It will be rich so don't drive it around.
