Throttle Compensation

Post by SupernoxV3 »

Good Day
Can anyone please assists with typical values
for "Idle control Setup" & "Throttle pump Compensation"
https://photos.app.goo.gl/H6HSK44eCPh55UZk6

IDLE CONTROL SETUP
Target idle rpm @ 950
Min Position @ 5.5
Max position @ 79.3
Home Position @ 5.9
Startup Position @ 9,0

THROTTLE PUMP COMPENSATION
Increase @ 26.6
Decay @ 34.4
Dead Band @ 5.1
De- Activate over -0.34

2e Dicktator standard exhaust
The car idles up and down & sometimes holds the revs high after revving it.
This morning it managed to climb a up hill without me touching the pedal.
I have calibrated the TPS and its running on MAP. I using a tuned fuel map that came with the motor
The water temp sensor is on the MK1 wire settings
There is also a slight knocking when starting to accelerate - no pinging, could this be caused by the throttle compensation?
I used the dicktator manual but I couldn't I get it right. @ one point i did get it right but unfortunatley i forgot to save the map.

I will have to drive the car for about 300km to SAC in Polokwane for porting & tuning in November, i just want to make that I do without breaking anything.
I wish i could drive it further to panics or papajoe in Gauteng but im afraid ill be pushing my luck.

I would really appreciate any input or advise from the group

Try these settings, should get you close.

IDLE CONTROL SETUP
Target idle rpm @ 950
Min Position @ 0.8 to 1.4 value
Max position @ 45 to 50 value
Home Position @ 8.6
Startup Position @ 11.4 to 12.1 value

THROTTLE PUMP COMPENSATION
Increase @ 25.2
Decay @ 32,8
Dead Band @ 4.7
De- Activate over -0.2

Knocking is likely timing related. Hard to guess without seeing timing and fuel values and knowing at what rpm and throttle input this occur.
