Passat,Water dripping from exhaust

Post by unknowndriver »

Hi,

I have some water droplets and steam coming from my exhaust, this happens even after driving for 30min and longer. Is this normal or a potential bad sign. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

I would not say that it's normal after 30 minutes or more of driving time. After my 20-25 minute commute, the exhausts on my cars have always been dry. No steam, and certainly no droplets.

Newer cars, all of them have drain holes in the rear silencers. Heat builds up and condensation happens. Simple as that
