1.8 8v N/A or 1.8T 20v
Good day all please remove if this is not meant to be here. i am going to be doing up a show car a golf mk1 but i am now stuck on engine choices i have a 8v n/a engine block bord to its max and with 2.5 caravalle pistons in, I was going to fit twin 40 side drafts ported head and 300* cam with spiral valves and viper branch but i am also pulled by the 1.8T 20v Engine but i dont know what do or how to go what will be the best i want to use the car for shows and to show off any ideas what the power out put will be on the 8v ? i know the 1.8T pushes 110kw please help thank you .

it will be a total guess to tell you what the 8v will make. You also neglect location as it will make 17% more at sea level than in jHB.
1.8 t will make more than 110 realistically. it is a hard choice only you can make.

I think either abf 2l 16v with throttles or 1.8 20vT would be nice although 1.8 8v is unique maybe the 1.8 isnt a bad idea but side draughts are a headache if not set right
