VW 2L APK Crossflow Motor with Carb

Hi Guys

So I just bought a 2l APK motor with its crossflow head still on running. get this with a Carb. It has this whole Wasted spark Management thing that just controls the spark on. So you can start the motor just on the tyre its standing. Just need to add power.
Looks like the motor came of some sort of machine.
Any of you guys seen this before. Will take pics and upload. Or will ask for pics. Motor still in a distant province.
