OBDII plug Pin no. - Ecu Pin No.

4 - Earth Pin no. 23
16 - 12v Pin no.21
7 - Pin No.29

Do you have the OBDII plug, its 3 wires, 2 is power and the 3rd is the communication wire to the mp9 Ecu

You will need the Vag software to check for faults etc.

Thanx UDC
Yes I do have the got it from a mk3 jetta, I have connected pin16 & 4 so there is power, but not to pins you mentioned. Use a 12v line and connected with a fuse(safety).

I notice there is grey/white on the loom same pin 7 on the port. Is that the one.

So this will work on my short loom (plug and play)

long as it was a power it will be fine, then you just need to connect pin7 of the OBDII plug to pin 29 of the Ecu

What vehicle is that fault code for, the fault seems more like a wiring or faulty injector issue....try swapping the injector to another cylinder and see if the fault moves to that cylinder as well

swap the injector to another cylinder, if the fault moves to that cylinder then you know for sure its the injector itself that is faulty and not a wiring issue.

So I checked it today swap the injector plugs around, injector plug two to injector one, code showed than on injector one. But car is driving fine, cleared the codes and disconnected the battery as well,

Run the scan again and no faults of that kind found

Car is driving fine now hoping it stays that way

not the most ideal solution....I meant to swap the actual injector, not the wiring plug...mp9 supposed to fire the injectors in sequential pattern but this is not the first time where I have seen them all spray together hence your car is running fine.

check the wiring on injector 2, might be a break in the wire...which is what the fault code states as well

whereabout are you based

either wiring or that no.2 injector is faulty....mp9 injectors are cheap, get a 2nd hand set change it and see what the car behaves....if you swapped the injector wiring and the fault still shows a short on no.2 cylinder...then its that injector that is faulty
